Jessie Flynn has been helping people develop their spiritual, mental, emotional and physical potential for over thirty years. After graduating from Gettysburg College, she continued advance study at the University of Pennsylvania and Drew University where she specialized in pastoral counseling. She is a gifted lecturer, writer, workshop leader, bereavement facilitator, and a catalyst for positive personal change.
Her background includes experience teaching, organizing and managing charitable programs, conducting workshops for self-esteem, stress management, parenting, communication skills, and bereavement. She has developed grief support programs and trains caregivers for the Metuchen Diocese of New Jersey. She lectures on grief issues, specializing in managing the stress of loss and dealing with the holidays.
Jessie has written ten books for children in the “Kids Cope with Grief Series.” Currently six are offered on the Kids Cope with Grief website. She also contributes articles to Grief Magazine and funeral home websites.
Jessie Flynn's Center for Living in Metuchen, NJ offers support for people who are dealing with loss and provides a safe place where people can receive one-on-one counseling as well as resource materials to help them on their grieving journey. Jessie also facilitates eight-week support groups and lectures on normal grief reactions. Her specialty is managing the stress that accompanies loss. The Center believes in a holistic approach to healing that includes guided meditation, therapeutic touch, and an array of life skills.
